My Quit Smoking Experience

Cigarettes contain thousands of different addictive as well as toxic substances. Did you know that nicotine is one of the most addictive drugs known to man? Addiction to nicotine is what makes it so hard to stop smoking.
Millions of people have tried quitting at some point or another and have failed. You're definitely not alone so don't feel too bad about yourself. There are other things you can try, such as e-cigarettes but I will get to that towards the end of this article.
Currently, you might feel as if quitting tobacco smoking seems like an unreachable goal, but I am here to tell you that there is more than one way to kick the habit. These days, there are just so many different ways for you to kick the habit, as you might have seen on TV or have read in books or magazines. Most of which are a total waste of time. Here are the most well-known methods:
The first is the most difficult of all methods, and it is going “cold turkey”. This involves cutting off all nicotine intake literally overnight. Statistics show that this is by far the most unsuccessful method of quitting smoking. I've tried doing this and my success only lasted for 24 hours at best. It was very very difficult. In additional, I think my body went into shock from the sudden drop in nicotine levels. This caused me to munch on snacks non-stop and even binge-smoked after caving in.
Only a few tough-minded individuals can actually follow through with this method and stay off cigarettes for good. I know some people can do it and have stopped smoking overnight after being a smoker of over 20 years, but most people just can't. It is definitely not something I'd be willing to try again.
Next, we have NRT. It inovlves the use of quit smoking aids such as nicotine flavored chewing gum, and patches. These, according to statistics, have a much higher rate of success. The truth of the matter is, NRT's might work for a short period of time. But eventually, the cigarette cravings are too much to bear.
The reason why people fail with these methods is because the addiction is not only related to nicotine alone but other things too. Behaviors such as putting a cigarette into your mouth, along with the taste and smell has a lot to do with it. These are what a lot of smokers miss when they try to quit.
Name it and I've tried it. I have used just about every known quit smoking technique and aid available. I have tried hypnosis, NLP, gum, patches, subliminal messaging, Asian herbal medicines, the list goes on. I've purchased lots of books and none of them have helped.
However, this year, I managed to finally quit smoking tobacco cigarettes. Electronic cigarettes are what I'm talking about. They're so much safer to use and only contain nicotine and flavorings, without other cancer-causing poisons such as tar and arsenic. You see, when you light up a cigarette, the smoke that is produced contains all the deadly chemcials and one of the worst is carbon monoxide, which causes lung cancer and emphysema. Giving up smoking tobacco cigarettes was a piece of cake for me, and many others alike. You have got to try it to believe it.
To learn more about how I managed to quit smoking using e-cigarettes, you will have to visit my blog to read up on it. There's just too much to tell within this article!
So I'd like to invite you over to my "E-cig Addict" blog where I share my experiences with using E cigarettes, along with many reviews on devices such as the Halo G6. Finally, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read up on my short article. I hope it has been helpful.
